Wine Tasting Notes & Descriptions:
2012 Starmont Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley
Fresh aromas of pink grapefruit, guava, and lime leaf. The bright entry leads to a balanced mid-palate of crisp nectarine and meyer lemon, with subtle hints of orange blossom. Mouthwatering and lingering kiwi fruit finish.
2014 Starmont Rose of Pinot Noir, Carneros
Aromas of ripe strawberry and white peach enhance the fresh entry of this mouth- watering wine. Tart fruit is well balanced by the overall structure of delicate red berry, and stone fruit with floral notes. River rock minerality adds to the delicate but lingering finish.
2012 Starmont “Stanly Ranch” Chardonnay, Carneros
Displays aromas of bright citrus, puff pastry, orange marmalade, butterscotch, lemon meringue, and cinnamon with clean, river stone notes. There is bright acid on the entry to mid-palate with lots of fruit concentration including citrus and pineapple. Rich and full bodied, yet stylish and graceful, the finish is lengthy with brioche and minerality.
2012 Starmont Merlot, Carneros
surprisingly dark with bright cherry, blueberry and currant aromatics on top of coffee/mocha, toast and cranberry. The palate is lush and velvety with good weight and soft tannins.
2011 Merryvale Profile, Red, Napa Valley
Aromas of violet, plum, black cherry, cassis, nutmeg, vanilla, dark chocolate, and the impression of minerality. Palate is restrained by Napa standards, but still full bodied and round, with all the color, depth, and persistence of a well structured wine. Exotic spice and toffee linger on the finish.
Benefits: Sustainable Contra Costa
