Celebrate Harvest in the Vineyards with The Summit Wineries

Harvest has started in the Santa Cruz Mountains! Celebrate Harvest on the Summit with us: Winery & vineyard tours. Hands-on harvest. Grape tasting. See crush in action. Music. Food. Wine. Picnic facilities.

Visit each winery for a different Harvest Celebration experience:

At Silver Mountain:  
- Live music by guitarist Mineo. 
- Small plates of fajitas for sale for lunch. 
- Tabitha Stroup of Friends in Cheeses will be tasting and selling her special jams and marmalades made from local produce, including Carrot Cardamom, as well as her fresh chevre and other cheeses. 
- Relax in the amphitheater, listen to the music and enjoy a small plate lunch or bring a picnic. 
- Tours of the certified organic vineyard (growing Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot). 
- Wines tasted will be a selection from the generous wine list, including Chardonnay, Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir, Silver Mountain's well-known Bordeaux blend called 'Alloy', as well as Syrah, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon.  
Silver Mountain is still probably a couple of weeks away before harvest will start in its vineyard, but it may have grapes coming in from other vineyards with crush going on in the winery this weekend.

At Burrell School: 
- Live music.  
- Truffle Gateaux will be offering chocolates to sample and purchase.  
- Harvest platters will feature Tabitha's Friend in Cheeses jams with flavors such as Pinot Cherries and Fig and Fennel to pair with our wines. 
- Burrell School will be pouring 6 wines for tasting: Estate Chardonnay, Estate Pinot Noir, Ryan Oaks Zinfandel, Estate Syrah, Old School Cabernet Sauvignon and Rosé of Pinot Noir. 
- Wine specials:  Fall Four Pack (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Syrah) for $89. 
- Vineyard tours will be offered both days at noon, 1pm and 2pm.  
Plus, the harvest at Burrell School is underway and crush at the winery is in full swing.

At Villa del Monte:  
- local artist Caeli Perrelli will be painting pumpkins, sunflowers and other harvest themes. 
- Crush is on and the winery will be fermenting Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Syrah from this year's harvest, so you can find out more about the winemaking process and taste the fermenting juice. 
- Villa del Monte's wines include Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay. Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon; and Merlot.

- MJA will taste wine at its tasting room in a beautiful forest setting. Picnicking available.
- Regale will be open on Sunday only, October 2 for tasting, vineyard tours, music and food.
